This is our trip to Disneyland in June 2006.  It was a special trip.  Losing a loved one is never easy and a trip to Disneyland does not change that  but what a trip to Disneyland can be is a diversion.  For a brief few days, a few people were able to put a period of sadness aside and have some fun just being together at time when being together meant an awful lot.

The gathering for this trip was small - Nancy, Janeen, Tammy, Eric, Megan, and me and it was such a special trip because instead of the thinking of the "group", we thought about each other.  The trip was brief but so wonderful.

Since the trip was put together on fairly short notice, we stayed at the Tropicana Inn and Best Western Park Place.  It was the first time for probably all of us to stay off Disney property but it really worked out.  Here are some pictures in and around the Tropicana.

We saw Mickey, Donald, and a Princess

Saw Parades.....

Took a ride on Dumbo

And ate a pickle at 9:00 in the morning......

And after all is said and done...........everyone gets a little tired.
