DISNEYLAND 2005

DISNEY-SMILES HOME   Click here to go to Janeen's Disneyland pictures

We made this trip in July of 2005 (hot but not uncomfortable) during Disneyland's 50th Anniversary celebration.  Just so happens that I turned 50 while at Disneyland so it was a very special time.  There were a lot of us so we got together and got a 3 room suite at the Disneyland Hotel (Bonita Tower).  For large groups it may be more cost effective to go this route.  Hard to tell - Disneyland, Disney properties, it's all expensive. From the suite we got really nice views of Disneyland and DCA.  From our balcony we could sit outside and see the fireworks (nice but certainly not better than seeing them from inside Disneyland itself).

So who made this trip - there was Nancy, Tom, Janeen, Robert, Eric, Jonathan, Brigitte, Joseph, Tammy, Denise, Nick, Matthew, Megan, Lisa, Tim, and me.  Lisa's brother Rob and his wife Sharron were out visiting from Florida so they were there for two of the count em' six days we were there.  Here are some pictures of the gang......

So what were some of highlights from this trip - let's start with a warm night at the Lost Bar at the Disneyland Hotel.  It took quite awhile but we all managed to get back to our rooms.  Tom and Nancy took us to a wonderful dinner for my birthday at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney.  The California Screaming coaster in DCA crashed about two hours after a few of us just got off.  Since it was July, the more time you could spend on Grizzly Rapids, the better.  How did three of us end up with the same shirt?

The park has been around a long time.  So have I.

Nancy treated all of us to a wonderful day at Universal Studios as kind of a Disney break.  Here's a few pics from there.

And thank you for everything
