DISNEYLAND 2002

DISNEY-SMILES HOME

We made this trip in October and stayed at the Grand Californian.  This was a real treat for us.  It's a beautiful hotel - luxurious, stately, convenient, and most of all - very, very, quiet.  I was very impressed.

This was a view from our room's balcony.  Other than a slight "whoosh", you could not hear the monorail.

This was the roster for this trip:  Joyce, Nancy, Tom, Janeen, Robert, Eric, Tammy, Perry, Nick, Megan, Matthew, Lisa, Tim, and me.  This was the only trip this group made with my sister Joyce who passed away in 2006.  She was a great sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend and we all miss her very much.  She got lost from the group at one point during the trip and she got a little scared but it all turned out alright.

I guess the highlights for this trip were a wonderful group lunch at the Blue Bayou, a dinner at the Rain Forrest Cafe, and of course just being together.

Matthew, Megan, and Eric were all just a few months old but they were all little Disney troopers.  Nick and Tim however, were the perfect age.
