Dave's Birthday

DISNEY-SMILES HOME    MEMORIES 2007

Some people in life just like to keep a low profile and not draw attention to themselves choosing to live their lives quietly in the background.  My whole life is built around this premise and it suits me just fine.  I think I stopped trick or treating somewhere around age 6 or 7 simply because dressing up in a custom and asking people for candy just didn't feel right to me.  On the other hand, my lovely family continue to want to celebrate my birthday that are, for the most part ,meaningless to me.  And I thank them for it not because of what I get out of it but because it just gives me another opportunity to see them again and see how wonderful they all are.

Though years pass and family member come and go, they are God's gift to me for which I will be forever thankful.

Here are some pictures from my birthday - #52.

Parties must have a cake.  I got two...

The were lined up to help me blow out the candles...

What's the worst part of birthdays?  People give you things when the real gift is being able to be with them once again

Me and Ken on the couch

Me and Woody on the couch

And my two favorite pictures of the day and I am not in either one of them
