Our last day at the park got
off to kind of a slow start as I had to find an Anaheim Post Office
and got lost while Lisa stayed behind at the hotel and did
laundry. Nancy was the smart one getting to the park early which
she did every morning in spite of being sick.
By getting to the park late we
only got the tail end of seeing this guy.....
Kobe Bryant
from the NBA champion L.A. Lakers and series MVP
We got the very best table at
the River Belle Terrace to see Fantasmic but to do so we had to begin
our stakeout around 2:00pm (for the 9:00pm show). Sound
silly? By 3:00pm, we probably could have sold the table to the
highest bidder. Instead we camped out with Lisa and I taking
turns holding the table while the other made other ventures out into
the park.
On one of my ventures I made
may way around and took lots of pictures (and videos).
Lots of people
still everywhere
This is a look
at the line for Pirates from our table we held for 7 hours to see
Fantasmic
Flag on the
back of the sailing ship Columbia. By the end of the night the
American flag is replaced by a skull and crossbones pirate flag for
Fantasmic
Speaking of
flags, I never noticed the Union Jack on Tarzan's Tree House
From in front
of Indiana Jones Adventure, a truck from the original movie.
These wait
times were nothing as wait times for some attractions reached the 2
hour mark during a couple of days during our stay.
Could have been
a pretty good picture of the Partners statue if it weren't for the
light standards that were set up for Grad night.
The new paint
job on the Astro Orbitor tends to blend better with the other
Tomorrowland attractions.
The majestic Matterhorn....the
only attraction that is not in any other Disney theme park
A proud mom
Has he always
been there?
The back of
Sleeping Beauty's Castle (or is it the front?)
Stairway to the
Fantasyland Skyway station which has been closed for going on 20 years
A
common sight this spring and summer, the Big Thuder Bar-B-Q with
plenty of available seating even on the busiest of days. The
$28.99 priced fixed meal has not gone over very well.
This
tunnel is a remnant from the original Mine Train ride
So
is this....
What
are these Disney castmembers doing? People walk around here all
day long but at night, this is where one of the massive Fantasmic
lighting towers is brought up from below ground.
