Disneyland History

In 2010, Disneyland will celebrate it's 55th anniversary, with the park opening July 17,1955.  It's an amazing piece of Americana and the quintessential example of one man's pursuit of a dream.  Disneyland is the only park in the Disney theme park family that Walt Disney ever walked in (or slept in for that matter).  And walk he did and then some. 

I got the idea of creating this page which celebrates Disneyland through the years after seeing some absolutely incredible time lapse video on YouTube of Disneyland construction.  The primary narrator is Tony Baxter one the main guys in Disney Imagineering.   Here are the 5 videos embedded from YouTube.  They take about 35 minutes in total but if you love Disneyland, this will be a treat.
