Disneyland Greetings

We actually woke up to a bit of sunshine and I decided to fulfill a commitment I made to myself and wore shorts over to Disneyland in December though the temperature probably never got above 60.  Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by some old friends and majestic sights.

Have We Seen the Last of Jack Sparrow in Disneyland?

Pirates of the Caribbean is my favorite ride at Disneyland.  Over the last few years, the ride (and Disneyland itself) had the presence of the Jack Sparrow character prominently displayed.  But even though the Pirates of the Caribbean films were produced by Disney, they do not own the character rights so the rumor is that all characters associated with the movies will be removed to keep from having to the the film's producer licensing fees.  The four actors who portrayed the human "Jack Sparrow" walking around the park have already been let go and when the ride goes into refurbishment in February 2009, all the animatronic Jacks and Barbosa will most likely be removed as well....

Final Shots

For whatever reason, the two Disneyland ships provide some of the best visuals....
