Hollywood Pictures Backlot It started to rain as soon as we got on the shuttle to go back to the hotel the previous night. It rained all night and through the morning. About 11:30 we braved our way to Disney's California Adventure because we wanted to make sure and see Aladdin which was not playing during our November trip. It stopped raining as soon as we got into the park and Lisa bought an umbrella (it would definitely come in handy later). Here are some pictures from our visit down the Hollywood Pictures Backlot and the Tower of Terror which Lisa braved again. Just remember, it may be terrifying but its all over in about a minute.....
Christmas Scenery and a Bowl of Soup California Adventure isn't nearly as decked out for Christmas as its Disneyland counter part, at least not yet. The makeover is in progress but will take another 3 or 4 years to complete. Christmas Scenery....
No doubt about it, it was cold in Anaheim in December, a bowl of soup sounded good and the Pacific Wharf Cafe (with outside heaters) in California Adventure generally gets good marks. What we found was the Boudin Bakery bread bowl was excellent, the soup - not so much. For dinner we just ended up having a pizza delivered to our room - cheaper and a much better dining alternative.
Seeing Shows The rest of the afternoon was dedicated to walking around seeing the sights of DCA plus a few shows - the always fun Turtle Talk with Krush and It's Tough to be a Bug. It was also the first time we saw the amazing Toy Story Zoetrope.
